Leicester City hosts Burnley at the King Power Stadium in a match from the 9th round

Leicester City hosts Burnley at the King Power Stadium in a match from the 9th round of the Premier League. We expect a good game, so let’s examine it in our English Premier League predictions.

Leicester City are enjoying a good season so far. Right now the Foxes are in the Top 4 of the league, being 4th with 14 points. Leicester’s record so far is showing four wins, two draws and two losses. If they continue like this, Leicester could really fight for a return to the Champions League next season.

In the previous round Brendan Rodgers’ boys lost, though. The Foxes visited the leader Liverpool at the Anfield and lost with 1-2 after a goal in the 95th minute. Sadio Mane opened the score for the Reds, but James Maddison equalised for the visitors. In the 95th minute Liverpool recieved a penaty kick, which James Milner turned into a goal. It was dissapointing for Leicester to lose like this in the last seconds.

Against Burnley the manager Brendan Rodgers can’t use one of his best players James Maddison, who is struggling with injury.

Burnley are currently 7th in the league standings with 12 points. They are unbeaten in their last four games in the league, winning twice and doing two draws. In their last game Sean Dyche’s boys hosted Everton and secured a 1-0 win, thanks to the winning goal of Jeffrey Hendrick in the 72th minute.

Against Leicester Sean Dyche will be without the injured Jack Cork and Danny Drinkwater.

In our English Premier League predictions we think that Burnley won’t be an easy opponent for Leicester, but the Foxes are favourites at their own King Power. The absence of influental midfielder James Maddison is a problem for the hosts, but they are still strong enough to secure a win.
