Celta hosts Valencia in a game from the second round of the Spanish La Liga
Celta hosts Valencia in a game from the second round of the Spanish La Liga. These two teams will fight for the win at the Abanca-Balaidos in Vigo. Let’s take a look in our La Liga predictions for the weekend.
For Celta this is a second consecutive home game in the league. In the first round Fran Escriba’s team hosted Real Madrid, but suffered a 1-3 defeat at the Abanca-Balaidos. The fact that Real Madrid’s key midfielder Luca Modric was sent off in the beginning of the second half didn’t help the hosts very much. Iker Losada scored for Celta in the end of the game, but before this Los Blancos have alredy scored three times.
After barely managing to survive last season, now Celta will try to do much better. They kept their big star Iago Aspas in the squad, so now it depends on Fran Escriba’s work with the players what’s going to happen. They are still waiting for their first points for the season.
Valencia on the other hand started the new campaign with a draw. Los Che hosted Real Sociedad at the Mestalla, but they were unable to win the game. And we can say they were unlucky, because the visitors scored their equalising goal in the injury time of the match. The Basques recieved the chance to execute a penalty kick and Mikel Oyarzabal beat Valencia’s new signing Jasper Cilessen. Before this Valencia managed to open the score with a goal from Kevin Gameiro in the 58th minute.
Clearly it’s very dissapointing to lose the three points in the last seconds of the game, but now Valencia will have another chance to record a first win for the season.
That’s our La Liga predictions for the Saturday game between Celta and Valencia in Vigo. We wish you good luck.
