Soccer predictions this week for Ligue 1
Montpellier hosts Nice at the Stade de la Mosson in a match from the third week of the Ligue 1. Here are our soccer predictions for this week. Let’s get to work!
Montpellier started the new season in the Ligue 1 with a defeat. At the end of August Michel der Zakarian’s team paid a visit to Rennes and suffered a 1-2 defeat at the Roazhon Park. Damien Le Tallec had the bad luck to score himself an own goal, while Gaetan Laborde’s goal at the end of the match was not enough for the visitors to claim at least a point.
Another problem for Montpellier is the suspension of the midfielder Florent Mollet. He got sent off in the first half against Rennes, so he won’t be avaliable for the next match. Der Zakarian will have the responsibility to replace him in the best way possible in the starting eleven.
Nice had a much better start of the new season as they are currently leaders in the Ligue 1 with two wins from two games played. After their win against Lens in the first round, Patrick Vieira’s boys travelled to Strasbourg and achieved a 2-0 win. Both goals in the game was scored by the Danish striker Kasper Dolberg, one of them from a penalty kick.
All of Nice’s fans are hopeful it would be a better season for their favourite team. The French legend Patrick Vieira progresses with his development in coaching, so he could be a future great in the profession. We will be following Nice with a great curiosity this season.
These are our soccer predictions for this week for the Ligue 1 match between Montpellier and Nice on Saturday. Nice had a perfect start of the new season, but Montpellier are always a tough team to win against. Let’s see.
